The Wedding Dress Specialists
Q. How far in advance of my wedding date should I start looking for my wedding dress?
A. A year before is perfect but it depends on each bride and how soon she wants to start looking in order to avail of payment plans and spread the cost or just be well organised.
Q. How long does it take for a wedding dress to come in?
A. On average 5-6 months, it depends on the designer
Q. Do I need to book an appointment?
A. Yes, definitely. If you call without an appointment and we have a bride in already, we won't be able to take you straight away, so book in advance to ensure you get the date and time you want and avoid any unnecessary travel and disappointment
Q. Can I look at bridal and bridesmaids on the same day?
A. We recommend taking a day out bridal shopping and focus on yourself first. Then take another day out for bridesmaids shopping. It is a lot to take on in one day and can be stressful and it can take the enjoyment out of your bridal shopping experience. If there are reasons why you need to do both in one day, we can accommodate this mid-week Monday to Friday and depending on availability in the diary. Book early to avoid disappointment.
Q. How many people can I bring with me?
A. Up to three advisors
Q. Is there wheelchair access?
Q. Can we bring champagne?
A. No, we don't have an alcohol license
Q. Can I take photographs?
A. Photographs are not permitted. Once you have paid a deposit on your dress, you can snap away, just be careful no-one sees them!
Q. This is my first bridal shopping experience, what are the do's and don'ts?
A. Do not wear body tan. This is very important. If you have fresh tan on, the consultant may let you look but you would have to reschedule your appointment to come back and try on, so make sure it's well worn off before your appointment to avoid any disappointment as you will have booked in advance and been excited and looking forward to your appointment. Wear nude coloured underwear and a strapless bra if you have them. Do not bring too many people, we allow up to three. Too many opinions can be confusing so bring one, two or three people whose opinions you really trust and value and who will be honest.
